Wineries In The Ozarks
Located among several communities in the environs of the DragonFly-In Bed & Breakfast are four excellent wineries and a wine cottage. They can be visited individually, although some may want to spend a full day touring them collectively, on a circle route we call the Vintners’ Tour.
Vance Vineyards & Winery in Fredericktown is located on the homesite of an early nineteenth century German settler, and its tasting room construction and décor are done in the German architectural style. Visitors can easily imagine themselves in the Rhine Valley wine region of Germany.
Also in Farmington is the newest of the group, Sand Creek Vineyard, which opened in 2008. Along with their wines, hosts Dave and Lisa Ikemeier also offer beer on tap.
The various wineries often provide live music and special events on weekends.
